Where is the school?
Munich International School is located at Schloss Buchhof in Percha, a district on the northern edge of Starnberg, about 25 km south-west of Munich city centre. The town of Starnberg, the lake and the S-Bahn line to Munich are close by.

Check the school bus before you sign
The school runs its own optional bus service. Routes are planned each summer for the following school year and can change depending on cost, travel time and enrolment. The school asks families to talk to its Transportation Office before settling on an area.
Our advice: send us your shortlist of addresses, and check bus availability with the school at the same time. A beautiful house is only the right house if the daily journey works.
Timing: plan backwards from the first school day
Many families look for a home in spring and early summer to move before the new school year. Rentals and purchases near the lake are scarce at that time, and a German purchase contract needs a notary appointment and financing confirmation. Starting three to six months ahead gives you room to compare.

Starnberg: Percha & Söcking
Short distances to the campus and the town centre. Söcking offers hillside plots with lake views, Percha is close to the lake shore.
Berg & Kempfenhausen
East shore of the lake with evening sun and larger plots, quick access to the motorway to Munich.
Pöcking & Possenhofen
Quiet family areas on the west shore, S-Bahn stop in Possenhofen.
Feldafing
Villas and park-like plots above the lake, S-Bahn station in the village.
